A late 17th-century Provençal country house in Grasse preserves the artistic legacy of Jean-Honoré Fragonard and his family. The Villa-Musée Jean-Honoré Fragonard displays works associated with the painter, his son Alexandre-Évariste, his grandson Théophile and his sister-in-law Marguerite Gérard. The villa is closely linked to Fragonard’s stay in Grasse in 1790–1791. Its grand staircase features painted trompe-l’œil decoration attributed to him, while the grand salon displays copies of his *Progress of Love* paintings, originally commissioned in 1771 by the Countess du Barry for her pavilion at Louveciennes. The City of Grasse acquired the house in 1977 and converted rooms into a museum dedicated to the family’s art.
