Full account deletion

Deleting an account now safely removes everything you own, while any museum or exhibition you contributed stays public.

Reliable photo storage

Support for moving avatars and museum photos to durable, dedicated storage is already built, but deferred until we reach roughly 500–1,000 users or a concrete need. Current storage works fine at our size.

Sign-in record cleanup

Temporary sign-in security records are automatically cleared after 24 hours, exactly as our Privacy Policy promises, backed by a daily 2 AM cleanup job in addition to real-time cleanup.

Automated safety checks

21 automated test cases across 5 files specifically watch privacy settings and account security so they can't quietly break.

Behind-the-scenes error monitoring

Automatic error notification is already built, but deferred until we reach roughly 500–1,000 users or a concrete need, so we're not paying for monitoring we don't yet need.

Better link previews

Sharing a MuseaShelf link elsewhere now shows a proper preview image and description, using a museum's own photo where we have one.

Smoother loading & error screens

Friendlier, on-brand screens on our busiest pages while they load or if something goes wrong, instead of a blank page.

Performance tuning

A pass on the pages most likely to see heavy traffic once MuseaShelf is public, plus some general database housekeeping.

Production hosting

Every photo is resized and compressed to WebP on the fly before it reaches the browser, instead of shipping the original file straight from wherever it was sourced.

Fixed: Back button on Museums

Clicking into a museum from page 2+ and pressing Back now correctly returns to that page instead of resetting to page 1.

Email sign-in uses a 6-digit code, no password to remember.

Alternate museum names
