The James Museum

The James Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida, grew from the private collection of Tom and Mary James, whose interest in the American West developed into a museum dedicated to Western and wildlife art. Opened in 2018, the building itself draws on the landscapes of the West, with stone, wood and other natural materials used throughout the galleries. The collection spans painting, sculpture, jewellery and Native American art, with works ranging from historic depictions of the American frontier to contemporary interpretations of Western life and wildlife. Displays explore subjects including Indigenous cultures, cowboys, animals and the landscapes of the American West.
