Norton Museum Of Art

A steel-and-glass extension curves around a 1940s Art Deco building in the heart of West Palm Beach, giving the Norton Museum of Art a striking mix of old and new. Founded in 1941 by industrialist Ralph Hubbard Norton and his wife Elizabeth Calhoun Norton, the museum grew from their personal collection into one of Florida’s major art institutions. European, American, Chinese and contemporary art form the core of the collection, with works ranging from ancient objects to 21st-century installations. Picasso, Pollock, Monet and Dalí appear alongside Chinese bronzes, Ming ceramics and American photography, while the museum’s sculpture garden extends the collection into the Florida landscape.
