A 1930s Art Deco building in Volunteer Park houses the Seattle Art Museum’s collection of Asian art. The Seattle Asian Art Museum reopened in 2020 after a major renovation, with galleries dedicated to art from China, Japan, Korea, India and other parts of Asia. The collection spans more than 5,000 years and includes paintings, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, prints and decorative arts. Historic masterpieces share the galleries with modern and contemporary works, while changing exhibitions bring new perspectives to the museum’s wide-ranging collection.
