The Royal Military Museum in Brussels traces Belgium’s military history from the Middle Ages to the present day. Established in 1910 and housed in the north wing of the Cinquantenaire complex since 1923, the museum occupies around 40,000 square metres across several exhibition galleries. Its collections cover the armed forces, warfare and military life across different periods. Highlights include medieval arms and armour, uniforms, artillery, personal objects and extensive collections from the First and Second World Wars. The Aviation Hall presents aircraft ranging from early balloons and pioneering planes to Second World War fighters and later military aircraft, while other galleries explore naval and armoured warfare.
