The Old Masters Museum in Brussels traces European art from the 15th to the 18th century, with a collection rooted in the former Southern Netherlands and the Flemish painting tradition. Works by Pieter Bruegel the Elder, Peter Paul Rubens, Jacob Jordaens, Hans Memling and Hieronymus Bosch reveal the range of artistic styles that shaped this period. Part of the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, the museum also presents paintings from the Dutch, French and Italian schools. Its collection offers a broad view of four centuries of art history, from early Netherlandish painting to later European masters.
