HannibalMissouri/United States

The Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum in Hannibal, Missouri, preserves the places that shaped Samuel Clemens, better known as Mark Twain. His childhood home, where he lived from 1844 to 1853, forms the centre of a museum campus that has grown to include historic houses, a former drugstore and museum galleries. The campus brings Twain’s life and literary world together through original belongings, manuscripts, photographs and 15 Norman Rockwell paintings. Visitors can step inside the homes connected to Twain and the people who inspired characters such as Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, while interactive exhibits explore the stories and places behind his writing.
