Musée Rodin

A former mansion and its garden became Auguste Rodin’s studio, showroom and eventually his museum. At the Musée Rodin in Paris, sculptures are surrounded by the same kind of rooms, trees and pathways that formed part of the artist’s world during his final years. More than 6,000 sculptures form the heart of the collection, including *The Thinker*, *The Kiss* and *The Gates of Hell*. Plaster models, drawings, paintings and personal objects reveal how Rodin developed his sculptures, while the garden places works such as *The Burghers of Calais* among trees, fountains and the historic Hôtel Biron.
