Musée D'Orsay

The Musée d'Orsay in Paris is housed in a former railway station on the left bank of the Seine and is renowned for its collection of 19th- and early 20th-century art. Opened as a museum in 1986, the building’s vast glass-roofed hall and monumental clock remain central to the experience. Its collection includes major works by Monet, Renoir, Degas, Cézanne, Van Gogh, Manet and Gauguin, covering Impressionism, Post-Impressionism and other artistic movements of the period. Visitors can also explore sculpture, photography and decorative arts, with works displayed alongside the museum’s changing exhibitions.
