Louisiana is located on the coast north of Copenhagen, where art, architecture and landscape come together. Opened in 1958, the museum takes its name from the three wives of its original owner, all named Louise. The collection covers international modern and contemporary art from the 1940s to the present, with works by artists including Picasso, Giacometti, Warhol and Louise Bourgeois. Visitors can move between galleries and sculpture gardens overlooking the Øresund, while changing exhibitions bring new perspectives to the museum’s collection and program.
