Kasteel Duivenvoorde

Duivenvoorde Castle is a beautifully preserved aristocratic residence, situated on a centuries-old estate between The Hague and Leiden. Since the thirteenth century, the castle has never been sold but has always been passed down through inheritance. This is evident in the interior: it looks as if the residents have just stepped out for a moment. The rooms are filled with a rich collection of family portraits, precious porcelain and silver, and a unique collection of historic carriages.
