Huis Sonneveld

The Sonneveld House is an iconic museum home built in 1933, designed by the architectural firm Brinkman and Van der Vlugt (also known for the Van Nelle Factory). The house was built for the Sonneveld family, one of the factory’s directors. Here, you can experience how a modern family lived in the 1930s: light, air, and space were central to the design. The interior remains almost entirely in its original condition, including the Gispen furniture and the kitchen and bathrooms, which were ultra-modern for that era.
