Berliner Dom

Berliner Dom

The Berliner Dom is a historic Protestant cathedral on Museum Island in the heart of Berlin, Germany. The monumental Neo-Renaissance building was constructed between 1894 and 1905 under Kaiser Wilhelm II and is one of Berlin’s most recognizable landmarks. Its richly decorated interior features mosaics, marble, sculptures and an impressive historic organ. Visitors can explore the Cathedral Church, the Imperial Staircase, the Baptismal and Wedding Chapel, the Cathedral Museum and the Hohenzollern Crypt, which contains the graves of members of the Brandenburg-Prussian ruling family. The dome walkway, reached by climbing 270 steps, offers panoramic views over Berlin and Museum Island. The Hohenzollern Crypt reopened to visitors in March 2026 after six years of renovation.
