Seattle’s Chinatown-International District is the starting point for stories that stretch across generations, borders and the Pacific. The Wing Luke Museum explores the history and experiences of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders, with a particular focus on the communities that shaped the region. Historic photographs, personal belongings, artworks and oral histories bring these stories to life, from migration and discrimination to family, identity and community. Rather than presenting Asian American history as a single story, the museum gives space to different cultures and generations, while its exhibitions often connect the past with issues still relevant today.
