The Whatcom Museum in Bellingham, Washington, brings together art, history and regional culture in a group of historic and contemporary buildings in the heart of the city. Founded in 1941, it takes its name from Whatcom County and explores the people, landscapes and stories of the Pacific Northwest. Its collections include more than 60,000 objects spanning fine art, historical artefacts, photography and Indigenous material culture. Visitors can explore changing exhibitions alongside works from the permanent collection, while the Lightcatcher building provides a distinctive contemporary space for exhibitions and community programs.
