Vleeshal

Vleeshal (also known as Vleeshal Markt) is an internationally renowned center for contemporary art, located in Middelburg’s former city hall. The exhibition space itself is a spectacular historic landmark: a Gothic hall with a distinctive black-and-white checkered floor and high vaulted ceilings. Instead of paintings from the past, the space showcases groundbreaking installations, video art, and performances by artists from around the world—many of which are created specifically for this unique venue.
