V&A East Storehouse in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park gives visitors an unusual behind-the-scenes look at the Victoria and Albert Museum’s collections. Opened in 2025, the purpose-built storehouse brings more than half a million works together across four levels, from fashion and furniture to art, design and performance. The building was designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro and incorporates working storage areas into the visitor experience. Visitors can explore displays, watch conservators at work and take part in Object Encounters. The Study Centre provides access to archives, library collections and the David Bowie archive, while the Order an Object service allows visitors to view selected works up close by appointment.
