Streekmuseum De Meestoof

The De Meestoof Regional Museum is located in the former town hall of Sint-Annaland and tells the story of life, work, and daily living on the islands of Tholen and Sint-Philipsland. The museum’s name refers to the “meestoof”: a building where, in the past, the roots of the madder plant were dried and processed into a valuable red dye. In addition to this unique industrial history, the museum offers a nostalgic glimpse into traditional crafts and Zeeland culture.
