Royal Ontario Museum

The Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto brings together art, culture and natural history under one roof. Founded in 1914, it occupies a striking mix of historic and modern architecture, including the original Neo-Romanesque building and the Michael Lee-Chin Crystal, added in 2007. Together, the galleries cover an unusually broad range of subjects. More than 13 million objects and specimens document cultures and ecosystems from around the world. Highlights include dinosaur fossils, ancient Egyptian and Chinese collections, Indigenous art and cultural objects, minerals and gems, and the famous Bat Cave. The museum also explores biodiversity, evolution and the history of life on Earth.
