Seattle’s story unfolds along the shores of Lake Union at the Museum of History & Industry. Housed in the historic Naval Reserve Armory, the museum explores how the city grew from a small settlement into a major centre of industry, technology and innovation. Thousands of objects, photographs, documents and personal stories reveal the people and industries that shaped the region. Exhibits cover everything from Native history and early settlement to timber, aviation, technology and Seattle’s changing skyline, while hands-on displays bring some of the city’s inventions and everyday life closer to visitors.
