Kew Gardens, officially the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, is a world-renowned botanical garden in southwest London. Founded in the 18th century, the UNESCO World Heritage Site combines historic landscapes, glasshouses and extensive plant collections with scientific research and conservation. Visitors can explore gardens and glasshouses containing plants from around the world, including the Palm House and Temperate House. Other highlights include the Princess of Wales Conservatory, the Japanese Landscape and the 18-metre-high Treetop Walkway. Kew’s collections support research into plant diversity, climate change and the conservation of threatened species.
