IWM Duxford

At IWM Duxford, history unfolds across a former RAF airfield where aircraft once prepared for wartime missions. Many of the original buildings remain, connecting the museum’s displays to the people who served here during the First and Second World Wars. Vast hangars house historic aircraft, from Spitfires and the Avro Vulcan to the American B-52 Stratofortress. Visitors can also enter preserved wartime rooms, including the operations centre associated with the Battle of Britain, and discover the experiences of the pilots and ground crews who worked at Duxford.
