The Harvard Art Museums in Cambridge, Massachusetts, bring together three collections spanning thousands of years and cultures. Highlights include European and American paintings, Asian art, ancient Mediterranean objects, photography and contemporary works, with particular strengths in Impressionism, German Expressionism and the art of the ancient Americas. The complex combines the Fogg Museum, Busch-Reisinger Museum and Arthur M. Sackler Museum in a building redesigned by architect Renzo Piano and reopened in 2014. Alongside its galleries, the museum houses conservation studios and research spaces that connect art with teaching and scholarship.
