Gettysburg Museum of History brings the past into focus through objects that have survived some of America’s defining moments. Its privately assembled collection spans the Civil War, the world wars and the American presidency, alongside memorabilia linked to cultural icons. Among the exhibits are battlefield relics, soldiers’ personal belongings and items connected to Abraham Lincoln, John F. Kennedy and Elvis Presley. The museum also houses the collection of Major Dick Winters, the Second World War officer known for his leadership of Easy Company. Each object offers a tangible connection to the people and events behind the history.
