Gala Dalí Castle in Púbol, Catalonia, Spain, was a gift from Salvador Dalí to his wife and muse, Gala. The medieval castle became her private retreat, filled with artwork, personal objects and decorative details designed by Dalí. Visitors can explore the rooms where Gala lived, the gardens she loved and the crypt where she was buried. Dating back to the Middle Ages, the castle was restored and transformed by Dalí into an intimate, theatrical setting. Its interiors combine historic architecture with surrealist touches, including painted architectural illusions and striking decorative elements. After Gala’s death in 1982, Dalí lived and worked here for a time, making the castle his final studio before it opened to the public in 1996.
