Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in New York City is the only museum in the United States devoted exclusively to historic and contemporary design. Located in the former Carnegie Mansion on Fifth Avenue, the museum explores how design influences everyday life across centuries and cultures. Its collection includes more than 200,000 design objects, ranging from furniture, textiles and wallpaper to jewellery, posters and digital works. Visitors can interact with exhibitions using the museum’s digital pens, sketching and exploring objects as they move through the galleries. The museum also features the historic mansion’s interiors and garden.
