Cincinnati’s past is hidden in some surprisingly ordinary things: a streetcar, a department-store sign, a baseball uniform and the objects people left behind in their homes. The Cincinnati History Museum uses these pieces of everyday life to tell the story of the city and the people who shaped it. Its galleries follow Cincinnati from its early settlement through its growth into an industrial and cultural centre. Historic photographs, clothing, businesses, transportation and personal objects reveal how the city changed over time, while a fully restored 1920s streetcar offers a particularly tangible glimpse into how Cincinnati once moved.
