ARoS is one of Denmark’s largest art museums, located in the heart of Aarhus. Founded in 1859, the museum moved into its distinctive cube-shaped building in 2004, topped by Olafur Eliasson’s circular installation Your rainbow panorama. Its collection spans Danish and international art from the late 18th century to the present, with works by artists including Asger Jorn, Per Kirkeby and Bill Viola. Visitors can explore the museum’s permanent collection alongside temporary exhibitions, while the rooftop walkway offers changing views of Aarhus through its coloured glass panels.
