The Jewish Museum in Prague (Židovské muzeum v Praze) is a museum complex in Prague’s historic Jewish Quarter, Josefov, dedicated to the history, culture and heritage of Jewish communities in the Czech lands. Founded in 1906, it is one of the oldest Jewish museums in Europe. Rather than occupying a single building, the museum consists of several historic sites, including the Maisel, Pinkas, Klausen, Spanish and Old-New Synagogues, the Old Jewish Cemetery and the Robert Guttmann Gallery. Its exhibitions cover Jewish life in the Czech lands from the medieval period to the 20th century, as well as the Holocaust and Jewish traditions.
