Tirpitz

Tirpitz is a history museum near Blåvand on Denmark’s west coast, built into the landscape around a massive German World War II bunker. The museum combines the preserved bunker with contemporary architecture designed by BIG, creating exhibitions that explore the history and culture of the region. Visitors can discover the story of the Atlantic Wall and the German occupation of Denmark, alongside exhibitions about life on the Danish west coast and the area’s archaeological discoveries. The museum also presents a large amber collection, tracing the history of the material and its importance along the North Sea coast.
