
Muzeum Komunismu is a museum in Prague, Czech Republic, dedicated to life under the communist regime in Czechoslovakia from the February 1948 coup to the Velvet Revolution of 1989. The exhibition explores everyday life, politics, education, economics, art, propaganda, censorship, the military, police and the secret police. The museum covers around 1,500 square metres and combines original artefacts, photographs, films and reconstructed environments, including a school classroom, children's room, period workshop and interrogation room. Its exhibition is divided into three theme, the dream, reality and nightmare. Offering an overview of both everyday life and political repression during the communist era.
