The Museo Egizio in Turin, Italy, is the world’s oldest museum dedicated entirely to ancient Egyptian civilisation. Founded in 1824, it houses a collection of around 40,000 objects spanning more than 4,000 years of history, including statues, papyri, sarcophagi, mummies and everyday objects. The collection grew through acquisitions and archaeological excavations carried out in Egypt by Italian missions during the early 20th century. Housed in a historic palace shared with the Academy of Sciences, the museum features several notable highlights, including the Gallery of the Kings, with monumental statues of Egyptian rulers, and the intact tomb of Kha and Merit, discovered by archaeologist Ernesto Schiaparelli in 1906. Another remarkable feature is the Temple of Ellesiya, an ancient rock-cut
