Mucha Foundation Art Museum

The Mucha Foundation Art Museum in Prague is dedicated to the life and work of Alphonse Mucha, one of the leading figures of Art Nouveau. The museum presents works from the collection of the Mucha Foundation, established by Mucha’s grandson John Mucha, and traces the artist’s career from his early years to his later projects. Paintings, posters, drawings, photographs and personal objects reveal Mucha’s distinctive style and his approach to decorative art. Highlights include his celebrated theatre posters for Sarah Bernhardt, advertising designs and illustrations, alongside studies that show how his compositions developed from initial sketches to finished works.
