Kunsthaus Zürich

The Kunsthaus Zürich is Switzerland’s largest art museum, bringing together works from the Middle Ages to contemporary art in the heart of Zürich. Its history dates back to 1910, while the museum’s present-day complex combines historic galleries with the 2021 Chipperfield Building, which significantly expanded the exhibition space. The collection includes Swiss masters such as Alberto Giacometti and Ferdinand Hodler alongside works by Monet, Picasso, Munch and Van Gogh. It also holds an important collection of modern and contemporary art, while the Kunsthaus regularly presents temporary exhibitions that place its holdings in dialogue with international artists.
