Set within the 880-acre Barber Motorsports Park near Birmingham, Alabama, the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum is dedicated to the history, design and engineering of motorcycles and motorsports. What began with George Barber’s motorcycle collection in the late 1980s has grown into one of the world’s most significant collections of historic motorcycles and vehicles. More than 1,800 motorcycles are part of the collection, representing over 220 manufacturers from 22 countries, with more than 1,000 on display at any one time. The museum also houses an extensive collection of Lotus race cars and other rare automobiles. Visitors can look down into the restoration facility, where many of the machines are preserved or restored to running condition, giving the museum a distinctly “living” charact
